Access to justice Parley
Join us at our Access to Justice Parley and the launch of the Reforming Pretrial Detention in Nigeria Phase II and Court Administration And Case Management projects.
In Nigeria, the criminal justice system faces major challenges, with 70% of inmates in Nigerian prisons being pre-trial detainees. This event is in response to the alarming 81% increase in detentions over a two-year period. Supported by the US Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, our projects span Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Plateau, Lagos, and the Federal Capital Territory.
These initiatives aim to improve the pretrial detention process, promoting fairness, efficiency, and justice within the legal system. Don’t miss the opportunity to engage with stakeholders and discuss critical issues in Nigeria’s Access to Justice system.
