Democratic Accountability, Rule of Law

and Good Governance

Our work connects the dynamics between improved transparency and accountability in public expenditure and the availability of effective and efficient public services and welfare delivery.  The anticipated Nigerian 2023 democratic transition and shrinking civic space amidst the decline in democracy across West Africa requires the sustained engagement of an informed citizenry and a sustained effort to protect and enhance the civic space.

PPDC’s approach focuses on the core areas of engaging transparency and accountability by linking citizens’ engagement with policy and decision-making while tackling the manifestation of the failure of transparency and accountability in stated expectations of Nigerians for security, poverty, economy and better quality of life.
